You can buy EZ Drummer for 129,- crossgrade to SD 2 for 127,- and then either keep both programs for 129+127 (258) or sell EZ Drummer and keep SD 2 for 127 (2,- cheaper then EZ Drummer 2)…… This seems strange to me. I bought it at Thoman, I take the Prices and show what I mean.

Sorry, I am new with this tool and did not know before that EZ Drummer can do some tricks, that the SD 2 cannot. Now I am thinking to give it back and instead buy EZ Drummer 2 and crossgrade then to SD 2, because that seems to be the far better deal. I have a package with Full Version, but not yet registered SD 2 here. IOW, Toontrack won’t sell it’s products for less then you could find at other retailers.Ĭase in point: The EZD can be regularly found for $99 at retailers and the crossgrade can be found for $229.Īlso, there is a deal this month (February 2011) where the Crossgrade plus and SDX can be purchased for said: Keep in mind that the Toontrack webshop will not undercut (sell for less than) it’s distributors. It would be logical to assume the the user got quite a lot of use out of EZD before they crossgraded and, thus, got their money’s worth out of EZD before paying the crossgrade.ĭeals can be found around for Toontrack products. Yes, the upgrade cost + the cost of EZD is more that just buying S2 in the first place. In theory, the user would buy EZdrummer first because 1) it is cheaper and the user can’t afford S2 to start off with or 2) the user doesn’t know if they need the full, more complicated Superior Drummer 2 product in the first place.Īfter buying EZdrummer and using it for a while, if the user then finds that S2 is wanted/required then the crossgrade is available. The Crossgrade price is from EZdrummer to S2.
